It was a glorious sunny day 1st of May 1965. The happy couple on the drive way of our home on Heatherton Road, Springvale, with page boy Ludwig guiding the couple to the door.
Mum was initially not so happy that they decided to get married on May 1, Labour Day. No worries they didn't carry any red tulips, like my socialists aunt Jo and uncle Herman long time ago.
