Grandstand view from Tom's treasured Ford.

Our Border Collie 'Ludwig' was full of life, he came to us one day as a lost dog in East Bentleigh looking for love and affection and despite early protests from Mum, he was finally adopted. He had that adventurous streak, so we shouldn't have been surprised, to see him coming home once with an big rib cage of a cow, twice the size of our canine. About an half a mile away across busy Warragul Road was an old slaughterhouse and it seems his nose didn't let him down. It must have been a gruelling journey, pulling this enormous catch all the way back, perhaps defending his price at all costs against other four-footed marauders. Here he is standing guard on the bonnet of our friend Tom den Boer old noisy battered car, he used for special work jobs. Wonder if it was really roadworthy, but in the mid fifftiess, one could dodge anything.
