The picture above dates from the mid thirties, taken by Truus van Leeuwen-Bosmans in front of her older brother Jacques Bosmans tobacco shop in Steenstreet Arnhem.
Quite a few posters as a backdrop can be seen, one it seems for a film or a play, ‘Scandal about Eve’, and underneath the announcement of the coming football match between Vitesse and ‘t Gooi.
The home team playing in the yellow and black colours had their ground a couple of km to the east at Monnikenhuize.
From left: Annie Bosmans and her German husband Kurt Melde, Cor Zeewuster and her husband Jan Bosmans, Dirk van Leeuwen, Herma (Puf) Hiller and husband Servaas (Puck) Bosmans. This couple were always called by their niknames, 'Puck and Puf'.
All the Bosmans personalties in the photo are the sons and daughter of Jacques, the elder brother of our father Antoon Bosmans.
