First day of a new year
The first day of the New Year 1933 began very quiet. Outdoors it’s all hush because of the persistent thick fog, the neighbourhood is sleeping in. But later in the day when the dim blanket had lifted, just a few uphill steps away from residence No. 79, Antoon offered his son Bernard (Ben) his first snowball.
